My cuddly boy!

Lincoln is my little cuddle boy. He loves to be held and will bury his face in his "blanky" and cuddle with me forever. Tonight, I was holding him, and I said, "Linc, what are you going to do when the baby comes and I have to hold her instead of you?" He quickly said, "Just put her down." Oh boy. We're going to have a hard time with this one! :D

ALRIGHT ALREADY!!

Okay, so I'm a little - or a lot - behind. What? Is 4 months a long time to have not posted anything? My only excuse is the first trimester of pregnancy. Kind of took it out of me, and then I guess I just plane got out of the habit! Kemilee made this cute pic for me when I was feeling so yucky.



The dots on the bottom are specks of glitter. Gotta have a little bling on everything, according to Kemilee! But, I'm glad to say that WE'RE BACK! And I'm happy to announce that we're having our 3rd GIRL! YOWZERS! It'll be fun to dress up a little girl again, I'm just not ready to deal with more hormones! She is suppose to come live with us in mid June. Hopefully she'll cooperate, and stick with mid June instead of later in the month. I'm definetly turning into quite the heffer, but that just comes with it. I'm not one of those cute little girls with a little basketball on her tummy. I turn into the big girl the excersise ball on my tummy, so don't expect any pictures of how fat I am getting. It's just not a pleasant site on this body. I can't get myself to wear maternity clothes...it just feels yucky. Instead, I wear lot's of "stretchy pants". Did you see that episode of "Everybody Loves Raymond"? So funny!

We have had a lot of things going on at the Palmer farm. Yes. That's what I now call our homestead. "Palmer Farm", with a hint of red-necky-ness. Never thought I'd say it, but it's true. Tom keeps calling me a Grandma when our goats or cow or whatever animal, has a baby. It's not a nice feeling to be called a "Grandma" when your goats have babies. So, good thing the babies are so stinking cute! I'll get some pics posted of them soon. They're like cute little puppies. Then they grow up. We are also milking a cow, and get all the milk we want. Actually, it's Tom milking. Won't take credit for that one. But what a huge blessing! Keslee just bought her first calf (cuz what kid doesn't have that experience?), and she's excited to raise it up. We collect roughly 10 eggs a day. And we have pecans running out our ears from the pecan trees. I remember when I didn't want to have this kind of life. Now I thank my lucky stars for it, even if we have turned red-necky!





The official groundbreaking ceremony for the Gila Valley Temple was on Feb. 14, and it was great! Crazy Tom & his crazy partner from work hiked up one of the ball park light poles to get some extra good pics. It was great really great to be there, and to be able to see things from the beginning. Tom continues to be able to work with the "temple guys" as we call them. What an awesome thing for him to be able to do!

I can't believe Kemilee is 9 this month! It's too sad how fast time slips away from us! Kemilee is my sweet, organized, dutiful & responsible girl. She still loves playing "House", and is a great big sister. She tends to be a bit hard on herself, but it's just because she always wants to do her BEST! We love you little Kemie! Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Tommy Baby!

Cute Tom celebrated his 29th birthday earlier this month. I am so grateful for him, and all he does for our family. I honestly couldn't ask for a better husband and daddy for our kids! He is the kind of guy who will happily serve anyone at anytime. I hope I can grow up to be like him. He's such a great example to our family. Happy Birthday baby!

We're BACK!

Okay, so I'm a bit behind. I love reading others blogs, but then it also makes me feel guilty that I'm not keeping mine up, so this may be a long post! I recently read one that reminded me that this is such a great way to keep up "family history" if nothing else. (Thanks for the reminder, Melody!) I was thinking today about something today. I am constantly reminded about how much our lives have changed since we moved here. So, I came up with a list of some things...



12 things that I'd never be able to do in Mesa:


1. Go to 4 parades in less than a year (I think they just think of excuses of why to have some of them here!)

2. Help Tom load a dead goat into the back of his truck.

3. Milk a goat, and actually drink the milk.

4. Have horses in my back yard.

5. Help Tom load another dead goat in the back of his truck.

6. Pry a dead & charred cat out of my dogs mouth. (Funny story!)

7. Spend lots of time with my in laws.

8. Be grateful for my girls surgery. (wouldn't have happened if we weren't here!)

9. Have cousins as my kids best friends.

10. Have Tom home for lunch every now and then, because he can.

11. Help to build a Temple!

12. Having my mother in law "teach" me that if you tie a dead chicken around your dogs neck, it'll never try to eat one again. (another FUNNY story! HAD to get pictures of that one!)



That's just a few. The list can really go on and on! We are so blessed, and are grateful for the opportunity to be here, even if we have to deal with charred cats and dead goats...it's creating memories!

Lincoln and Pinocchio

Lincoln loves the story of Pinocchio, and he is learning what it means to tell the truth, and tell a lie. My kids are pretty easy to catch in a lie. Their tone & body language say a lot! Yesterday Linc ran up to me "fake" crying and told me that Keslee had hit him. Keslee strongly denied it, and it was pretty obvious who was lying. So I said, "Lincoln, are you telling me a lie?" He thought for a minute, and said, "Mmmmm........mmmmmm........I think I need to check my nose in the mirror real quick." Take a guess who was telling the lie.

I'm not that good!

I stumbled onto this site today. The Duggar family isn't new to the media. They are some incredible people! I don't think, no, I know I couldn't do what they're doing! But more power to them! Rules for the game, "Penalties"

For those of you who wanted to know, here's a quick explanation of one of the funnest games: "Penalties". So simple. So fun. Just get ready to make a fool of yourself. Best played with close family members. Not recommended for a church activity. :D

The dealer has a full deck of shuffled cards. One person verbally chooses a random card. (He doesn't see the card, just says the name of any card.) The dealer then goes around the room and each player chooses a card from the deck. If they draw the card that was verbally chosen, they are "penalized", hence the name, "Penalties".

The penalties can be anything, usually something nice and embarrassing. It's usually helpful to have them chosen before hand. If you need help coming up with a good list, I have a few that will make wonderful memories for your next family reunion! :D

Family Reunion, & summer bdays

So, last week, we went to a family reunion in Utah to be with my brothers and sisters. I gotta tell ya, it was a blast! Just wish it weren't so stinking far away! A few of you looking might not appreciate me sharing these precious photos, but you chose to come to this family, and that is one of the "PENALTIES"!! :D So to the rest of you, ENJOY!

Tyler has always dreamed of being this hot. I'm glad he could finally live out his dream, in front of his entire family, and the camera.

Jacob has had a hard time getting a date latley...I wonder why. So weird.

This is a definite fav! Camilla had to make out with Tylers dog. OK, so she didn't really "make out", but she did have to hold a doggie treat in her mouth and let the dog take it from her. It's all about a little game called, "PENALTIES"!! CLASSIC!

Mandi comes home!

My little sister, Mandi came home from her mission at the beginning of this month. It was so great to see her again, and to see how much she has grown up and changed for the better. These pics didn't turn out super great, but they give you a general idea of her airport homecoming. By the way, the elder was actually her "companion" on the ride home. Hmmmm...kinda cute Mandi. What do you think?

Happy 6th Birthday Jackson!

July always seems to be a busy month for us, but also super FUN! Jackson's birthday is among one of the extra FUN events for July. Our little 6 year old will be in 1st grade this year! Happy Birthday handsome blue eyed boy!

Happy 11th Birthday, Keslee!

I can't believe that 11 years ago this month Keslee joined our family. It doesn't seem fair that it goes by so fast, but we can't stop time, so we just try to enjoy every moment! Next year she'll be in Young Womens at church! AHHHH! Happy Birthday Keslee Kalana! We love you so much!
